Learn to Sew! No or little sewing experience? Beginning Sewing is the class for you. It’s where you will find out about machines and how to use them. Make wonderful things you’ll be happy to wear.
Do you already know how to use a machine? Then, you are ready to sew like a pro and move up to Apparel Construction.
Includes pattern & handouts. Bring your machine or rent one from us (then apply that rent to purchase of a machine if you wish).

Series: April 3-June 26 (no class Memorial Day) OR April 11-June 27
Beginning Sewing Level 1: Sew basic stitches; practice and apply basic techniques. Learn to read and understand commercial patterns. Make an apron (Level 1) as you build you skills. Good class if you just want to know how to fix, alter and repair — or if you want to go on to higher levels of sewing.
Beginning Sewing Level 2: Improve on the skills you have learned in LTS 1 or sewing at home. You will make a robe with band, pockets and sash. Match your pockets and make them even. Learn the proper way to make a faced front. Work with large volumes of fabric and tricky layouts. Includes pattern & handouts. (Pre-req: Beginning 1 or private lessons)
Beginning Sewing Level 3: Make comfy pjs. Sew buttons and buttonholes with your machine. Find out the secrets of interfacing. Sew a professional pocket and collar. Includes pattern, handouts. (Prereq: Beginning 2)
