Get noticed!

Kim, a PR pro, will help you stand out from the crowd.  She’ll tell you how to get visibility from legitimate news media who can put you on the map.  She will get you ready by discussing:

  • Why you need PR. First, we’ll dive into what PR is, what it can do for your business/brand and why storytelling today is more important than ever.
  • What’s your pitch? Learn the tips and tools to crafting your “elevator pitch” and how to distinctly communicate about your brand.
  • Who are you pitching? We’ll discuss how to hone in on target audiences and developing custom pitches that work.
  • When good pitches go bad. How to get your interview back on track.

By the end of the class, you’ll learn who (and how) to contact in the media. You’ll know how to look at stories from the press’ point of view, how to recognize a news peg and put it first in your e-mail to your contacts, plus find out the things fashion writers don’t want. Most importantly, you’ll know how to see media as friends and colleagues.
