There are more than 100 different fabrics out there and more coming every day. Learn to recognize fabric types as you are given swatches of fabrics to examine and test. Learn which fabrics to use, when, where and how. Find fabric sources beyond the local fabric store. Make a notebook that will be your guide to better results. This class benefits beginner and advanced students.

Supply list: Purchase "JJ Pizzuto’s Fabric Science and Fabric Science Swatch Kit" (~$100) new from Portland Sewing, Amazon or Powell's Books. Also bring to the first class is a pen/pencil and a notepad. A laptop or tablet will help you in your research. The instructor will suggest other supplies to bring throughout the class.
