A ham is a tightly stuffed pillow. It’s called a ham because it’s shaped like a ham. It’s used to press curved areas. This allows a garment to better fit body contours. A ham is cotton on one side, wool on the other. Use the cotton side for cotton or cotton blend fabrics. It’s a must for tailoring and to give your garments a professional press. And it’s fun to make.
