Scholarships
Your gift to the general scholarships, or a named scholarship funds, provides young designers with the financial help they need to get a great education and become the next generation of creative talent in the greater Portland area and beyond.
PFI Annual Fund
Our area of greatest need. Gifts to the PFI Annual Fund provide funds to an annual scholarship contest that allows a talented high school senior from across the nation the opportunity to pursue their fashion dreams.
Named Annual Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and can be directed by the donor to benefit a particular program or specific enrollee. With a minimum of $10,000, these scholarships be awarded in one year or over a period of years.
Endowed Scholarships
Established with a suggested minimum of $25,000, these funds are invested through the PFI's investment advisor and are diversified in various investment funds. Scholarships would begin to be awarded based on the average earnings after a period of three years, based on the donor’s directives regarding department, year of school, academic standing, etc. The principal is never spent and exists in perpetuity.
Brian Foster Endowed Scholarship
The Bryan Foster Scholarship Endowment was established in 2021 with a generous gift by Brian's partner, Daniel, and Brian's friends. Your gift will be added directly to the endowment’s principal balance and continue to provide scholarships for talented PFI students for years to come. About Brian Foster.
