To get a clean cut on fabric, use a rotary cutter rather than scissors. Rotary cutters are so much faster than scissors. We like Sullivan’s because they are reliably sharp and you can retract the blade for safety. The 45 mm blade is fast for straight edges and accurate for curves. The handle comes in three colors. Let us know if you want pink, purple or turquoise.
Use weights rather than pins to hold patterns in place while cutting. Pins can leave permanent holes in some fabrics, particularly knits. You will need cut fabric using a self healing mat. If you use the blade directly on a table top, you will cut the table and dull your blade.
