PFI’s Beginning Sewing classes come in two levels:

— Beginning Sewing :  If you know nothing about sewing machines or how to use them but have a desire to sew, start here.  Try these patterns and build your skills with each one:
Market Apron — Lounge Robe — PJs

— Apparel Construction:  Know how to use a machine but want to sew & fit like a pro? Then you’re ready for our Apparel Construction patterns.  Try these patterns and build your skills with each one:
A-line Skirt or Hipster Vest — Beach Pants — Day Dress or Camp Shirt

Can’t decide?  Try this quiz:

Can you:
1. Wind a bobbin?
2. Thread a sewing machine?
3. Read a basic pattern?
4. Cut out fabric on grain?
5. Sew a straight line with 5⁄8” seam allowance?
If you answered all five with a yes, then go for Apparel Construction. If you answer all five with a no, Beginning Sewing are the patterns for you. Happy Sewing!
